Spray dryer is used for a wide variety of products in chemical, food, pharmaceutical, resin, and adhesive industries, where a rapid drying for heat sensitive products is vital.

Double Effect Evaporator Unit (DEU80)

Evaporator is used in food, pharmaceutical, and water desalination industries. This unit is utilized to concentrate dilute solutions in a vacuum environment in order to preserve the quality of the solute and preparing them for downstream crystallization. The supplied steam to the first stage is used to evaporate the first stage solution and provide steam to the second stage. The concentrated feed in the first stage, introduced into the second stage and reaches to the final concentration.

Multi-stage CSTR reactor Unit (STR50)

This unit is designed to investigate the effect of various factors influencing the conversion of reactants and rate of a chemical reaction. This multi-stage unit is capable to study the plug flow pattern as an infinite number of mixed stages. Also each reactor unit can be used individually to carry out a specific chemical reaction. Each reactor unit operates in continuous mode with inlet and outlet streams and is equipped with heating/cooling coil.

Batch Tray Distillation Unit (BTDU10)

Distillation is a unit operation used to separate components of a solution based on their relative volatilities between gas and liquid phase.

Continuous Tray Distillation Unit (CTDU10)

This unit is used to separate components of a solution based on their relative volatilities between a gas and a liquid phase.

Solid-Liquid Extraction Unit (SLE45)

Solid-liquid extraction process is used to separate the desired solute constituent from a solid texture into a solvent.

Liquid-Liquid Extraction Unit (LLE120)

Liquid-Liquid extraction unit is used for partial separation of components of a liquid solution.

Gas Absorption Unit (GAC100)

The gas absorption unit is used to absorb a component from a gas stream into a liquid phase.

Cooling Tower Unit (CTU90)

In cooling tower unit two phases of water and air come in a direct contact to transfer mass and energy. Processes such as humidification, dehumidification, and gas/liquid cooling can be studied in this unit.

Rotary Dryer Unit (RDU80)

Rotary dryer can be used for drying of granular materials in food industry and mineral processing such as various types of seeds and cement clinker. The solid to be dried introduced continuously in rotary cylinder with heated gas in counter current flow. The reduction solid humidity can be calculated based on the measurement of dry and wet bulb temperatures of outlet air.

Shaker Incubator (SI25)

Shaker incubator is used for agitation of solutions that need orbital rotation in a temperature-controlled environment. This type of agitation is suitable for microbial medium since the cells are nor under intensive shear stress. In cases where impellers are not usable for stirring, shaker is an appropriate alternative. This unit comprises 25 clamps of 250 ml flasks that can be replaced by larger clamps for flasks up to 1 L. Forced circulation of air is provided inside shaker for temperature consistency and the temperature can be adjusted from room temperature up to 60 C.

Batch Bioreactor Unit (BB05)

Bioreactor is used to investigate fermentation and similar biological processes. The medium is initially prepared, sterilized, and then inoculated.

Nano Spray Dryer

This unit is designed for production of nano particles from high-value solutions using spray drying technique. Pressurized air sprays feed stream into a hot air medium through a tiny nozzle. The water content of droplets evaporates rapidly and nano-scale particles form in the chamber. The particles are collected passing through a magnetic collector at the bottom of the chamber.

Agitated photobioreactor (PBR03)

Photobioreators are used for investigating photosynthesis-based processes. In photosynthesis cellular growth receives required energy from a light source and during light dark cycles growth takes place.

Raceway open pond (ROP500)

Raceway is a vessel for outdoor algae cultivation in large volumes. In this system algal solution is propelled and simultaneously mixed by means of a paddle wheel and flows in a path like a raceway. The surface of the solution is illuminated from the top and due to the mixing all the cells have a chance to capture energy from the light source. Growth parameters such as biomass density, dissolved oxygen, pH, and bicarbonate ion can be measured. All the liquid surface is subject to oxygen release and the speed of paddle rotation is adjustable.

Flat-plate Photobioreactor (PPB50)

Flat-plate photobioreactor is an equipment to investigate microalgal growth process during photosynthesis. In this system light is reached to cells in a short light path and growth take place. Due to the flat structure of the reactor and short light path mixing in not required and aeration serves as mixing factor. This reactor is manufactured in different sizes. Light intensity is adjustable and can be regulated based on the growth rate.

Recessed plate filter press (RPF05)

This recessed plate type filter is a combination of conventional plate-frame filter and regular filter press. The unit operates in continuous mode and filtrate is obtained after pressing the feed and formation of cake. This apparatus is used for separation of a solid from a slurry or suspension that the desired product can be the solid (filter cake) of the fluid (filtrate). This equipment is used in variety of industries including sugar, zinc and copper extraction, food, water and wastewater treatment, juice, mining, and similar separations.

Gas Adsorption Unit (GAD40)

Gas adsorption unit is used to separate a gas component from a gas mixture so that the gas is adsorbed by adsorbent and remaining leaves the column. The desired product can be the adsorbate or the objective of the process can be clean up of the gas mixture from the adsorbed component.
